Presentation mode

Presentation mode hides the toolbar and side panels so only the image is shown — ideal for lectures, tumor boards and projecting to a screen.

Enter / exit

• Click the presentation button in the toolbar, or use its keyboard shortcut (rebindable in Settings → Keyboard shortcuts).
• Exit with Esc or the exit button in the top-left control bar.
• It implies fullscreen; pressing Esc again leaves fullscreen.

The presentation controls live in one horizontal bar in the top-left: exit, image tools, teaching pointer, and minimize the cine bar.

Image tools

The tools button (sliders icon) in the top-left control bar opens a compact palette with the full set of manipulation tools, so you can adjust the image while presenting without bringing back the toolbar:

• Window / Level, Zoom, Pan and Scroll (slices);
• Measure, Angle, Arrow + text and Text box;
• Rectangle / Elliptical ROI and Probe (point value / SUV);
• the mode-appropriate rotation (free rotation, 3D trackball in MIP, or crosshairs as a toggle in MPR/fusion/compare — click again to turn the reference lines off and scroll slices);
• Rotate 90°, delete annotation, sync scroll (split layouts) and Reset view to recenter.

Each button shows its keyboard shortcut (the same hints as the normal toolbar, reflecting any rebinding in Settings). The palette opens right below the control bar (top-left) and scrolls without a visible scrollbar on short screens so every tool stays reachable. It is hidden in video and whole-slide modes, where these tools don't apply.

Patient privacy (anonymization)

Requires a free Cloud account. Anonymization (along with tags and key-image marking) is available when you're signed in to the Cloud — any tier, free or paid. Signed-out, local-only users won't see the anonymize control.

Because presentation mode is usually projected to an audience, it can hide the patient identifiers for you. When anonymization is on, the on-image info overlay masks patient name, patient ID, accession number and institution (shown as •••); technical fields (modality, study/series description, dimensions, study date) stay visible.

• Default: choose it in Settings → Presentation → “Anonymize patient data by default”. This decides whether each presentation starts anonymized (it ships on).
• Live toggle: the privacy button (person icon) at the top of the tools palette flips anonymization on/off during the presentation.
• Toggle the info overlay itself with the metadata shortcut (the “Toggle metadata” key in Settings).

This is a display mask for projecting safely — it does not alter the underlying DICOM files.

Teaching pointer (Pro / Enterprise)

To point at findings while presenting, turn on the pointer (dot icon) in the top-left control bar. With it on, touching or dragging over the image moves a glowing dot that follows your finger (or the cursor on desktop) and leaves a fading trail — perfect for highlighting a lesion or tracing a path. Pick the green or red color and adjust the pointer size with the − / + buttons in the switch that appears just below the button. Turn the pointer off to go back to scrolling slices by swiping over the image.

The pointer is a Pro / Enterprise feature; on the Free and Basic plans the button links to the pricing page.

Minimal controls

A slim, translucent bar appears at the bottom (it brightens on hover) with play/pause, previous/next and a seek slider. For stack series there is a playback speed slider (1–30 fps) on the same line so you can control how fast slices advance. You can minimize this bar with the cine button (film icon) in the top-left control bar for a fully clean image. Video/cine series use their own playback controls.

Keyboard shortcuts

All rebindable in Settings → Keyboard shortcuts (the Presentation group) and persisted in this browser/PWA:

• N — enter/exit presentation mode (Esc also exits)
• 9 — laser pointer (Pro/Enterprise)
• 7 — image tools palette
• 5 — cine/slice bar
• ; — series switcher
• ' — exam video recorder (Enterprise)
• With the laser on: Shift + mouse wheel resizes the pointer.

Tips for teaching

• Adjust window/level, zoom and other tools live from the top-left tools palette — no need to leave presentation.
• Use a calm speed (e.g. 6–10 fps) when auto-advancing a stack.
• Leave anonymization on when projecting to a room; turn it off only when the audience is authorized to see patient identity.
• The on-image selection overlay is hidden here for a clean look.
• To project to a TV or projector from an iPhone/iPad, use Screen Mirroring (AirPlay) from the iOS Control Center (swipe down from the top-right) — it's a system feature, there is no in-app button for it.
