Quick start

You can open a study in three ways — pick whichever matches your files.

1. Open a study

• Drag & drop a folder or a .zip onto the viewer, or
• Click Open DICOM (top right) → Open Folder (a CD/USB export or any folder with .dcm files), or
• Click Open DICOM → Open .ZIP for a zipped study.

Doomina reads DICOMDIR, files ending in .dcm / .dicom, and extension-less DICOM files. Non-DICOM files are ignored automatically.

2. Display a series

Studies appear in the list on the left, each showing the exam description and patient name. Expand a study and click a series to load it. Single-series studies open on click.

3. View & interact

• Scroll the mouse wheel (or drag with the Scroll tool) to move through slices.
• Window/Level: select the W/L tool (W) and drag, or pick a preset.
• Zoom (Z), Pan (P), Reset (0).
• Fullscreen (F), Presentation mode (Shift+F), exit with Esc.

4. Keep your studies (optional)

Opened studies are remembered in this browser automatically. To keep them in a real folder on your computer (and tag them), link a library folder.
